About Me:
Janice Elaine Cooper is a native Texan, a former student of the late Warren Hunter. A member of the San Antonio Art League, SAVA( San Antonio Visual Artist) and Inspire Community Fine Art Center. She first began painting oils in High School and experimented with acrylics in college. Later, she was encouraged to try watercolors, which she worked in for many years, creating charming renditions of Texas Landmark buildings and immortalizing ancestral homes for select clients. The Olmos Pharmacy (one of her Texas Landmark watercolors has been in print since 1987, (950 prints, Special Limited Edition, 200 which have been donated to special charities). For the past 5 years has been painting contemporary surrealist oils. Amazed at her success as a surrealist, she has continued painting these colorful and playful paintings. There are also two books of her paintings in publication. Her art is displayed in homes and museums from Japan to New York.
